The highlight of any collection wouldn't be complete without a bride.  Here Vivian lives her “reality” through her dreams by modeling a regal white satin gown with lace overlay and two tiered lace train.  The Queen Ann collar and ruffled trimmed sleeves have pearl and iridescent sequin beading.   Jewelry, yellow and white bouquet, tulle petticoat, blue garter, white pumps and bouffant matching tiered veil complete this bridal look. To celebrate the occasion a special invitation has been included along with a yellow satin ring bearer's pillow and matching his and her wedding bands.
Fun Fact:  This wedding gown is a copy of Brian’s mother’s wedding gown from 1964.  An exact miniature copy of his parent’s wedding invitation is also included.

Monty Fashions These fashions were designed to represent the 1940s through the 1960s era and will compliment both Monty dolls as well as coordinate with all Vivian fashions.  To keep the “Classic D.A.E. Originals” look, special attention to detail and high quality is the hallmark of these designs right down to the current time on Monty’s watch.  Each piece was meticulously “Magicfactured” using time honored construction techniques that make each design truly delightful.

Leisure Time™ - Circa 1950

Monty is catching up on his reading at the men’s club in this casual outfit of khaki poplin pants, white cotton shirt, blue argyle sweater, blue bow tie and spectator shoes.  The cocoa wool tweed jacket has  matching blue cotton flannel fronts.  Solomon, the newest addition of pets, is a fire point Siamese cat that keeps Monty company.
Fun Fact & Tribute:   Solomon is the oldest of David and Brian’s pets.  He was a black cat with a cool cat attitude.  He loved to protect the pile of scrap fabrics and was always sleeping on them or sitting on their desks.  Unfortunately Solomon passed away Thanksgiving Day 2004 while the new line was in print.  He will surely be missed and a great inspiration when it came to adding pets to the Vivian and Monty line.  A pile of scrap fabrics without him will never be the same

*Here is a brief list of collections coming out throughout this year (please note debut dates are estimated):
*Vivette (debuting in a few months):
The 2005 Vivette gift sets went over well with collector’s.  So well that an entire collection has been devoted to Vivette.  Vivette’s collection will feature 7 basic dolls; 4 rooted and 2 flocked with wig sets. An array of 14 complete fashions all with many extras and accessories to create more than just one look.  It’s like three fashions in one. Vivette will also be available for the first time with an African-American skin tone.  Dolls and fashions are all sold separately.  This will be the last Vivette collection that will feature an exact downsized replica of the original resin Vivian doll.  The Vivette collections after will be downsized replicas of the current Vivian and Monty dolls.  Vivette will still remain Vivette and the downsized Monty will be Montague.  They will have knee and elbow joints since we will be “Magic-Facturing” all kinds of fun items, like furniture,  scaled to their proportion.

*Louis and Sandy
The newest Miniquin dolls to coincide with Vivian and Monty.   Louis (18 years of age) and Sandy (16 years of age) are lovable “smiling” teens from the 1950s who will be “Magic-Factured” out of our new and enhanced “Velvet Touch Vinyl."  This collection consists of 2 basic Sandy dolls, 2 basic Louis dolls and 10 complete fashions, (5 fashions for Louis and 5 for Sandy).  These completed fashions also have a lot of “extras,” to create more than 1 look. Dolls and fashions are all sold separately.

*Vivian and Monty
The collection everyone has been waiting for.  We have completed the majority of their new collection and are patiently waiting for production samples.  There will be 4 new basic Vivian dolls and will include a new era, the 1930s.  There will be 3 basic Monty dolls which will be able to span any decade.  There will be new face paints, coiffures and hair colors.  Fashions will range from suits and cocktail dresses to evening gowns and sports wear.  Vivian has 20 complete fashions and Monty 8 complete fashions.  Again, we have designed each fashion with extra pieces to create more than just one look. Dolls and fashions are all sold separately.

*Both Vivian and Monty have gone under some enhancements.  We have added an extra set of new arm poses and both Vivian and Monty will have their current head sculpt along with the addition of a second head sculpt.   This will immediately expand the look and poses of Vivian and Monty.  They will continue to keep the 5 basic ball joint system.  We feel it’s important to keep Vivian and Monty close their original concept.

*Ava
A new addition to coincide with Vivian as well as Sandy.  Ava is the countertop head/bust display that displays the accessory packs.  Ava has the same head size as Vivian and Sandy and collectors can use her accessories for Vivian and vice versa. Display portrait/bust comes with accessories including jewelry, hats,  purses, gloves and more.  Accessories will fit both Vivian and Sandy.

*"Metamorphosis"
The most modern collection of our time.  This line was originally going to feature only 4 male dressed dolls.  Since we received so much feedback we decided to add 4 females as well.  This collection has been one of our favorites to create and collector’s have been patiently waiting to see the modern/futuristic approach we have taken.  This is why we have decided to show the Prototype photos of the dolls on our web site within the next month.  Our “Metamorphosis” line of dolls feature 4 dressed male dolls and 4 dressed female dolls.  These Limited Edition dressed dolls are themes of modern couture urbanite culture.  In the male series dolls  consist of a punk rocker, a metro nightlife partier, a city cowboy & a street mod. The female “Metamorphosis” line consists of a gothic girl, a new romantic video vixen, an Anime gal and an over the top runway model.  Full names will be released at debut, along with photos of prototypes.  These dolls celebrate the diversity of cultured people who express themselves through clothing from all over the world.  These dolls are geared for the adult collector.  For example, some dolls have body hair, body piercing, tattoos, etc., all done in a tasteful manner.

*Celebration Plans:
This September marks D.A.E. Originals 15th Anniversary.  We’ll be kicking off the festivities this September with all kinds of surprises.  We are looking forward to this wonderful milestone.  Last but not least several D.A.E. Original conventions/events have already been planned during this year.  We hope to meet all our collector’s face to face.  Once information has been approved we will let everyone know where we will be and how to get in on the fun.
